Laurie Kretchmar
Laurie Kretchmar is a strategic communications advisor who helps executives turn ideas into influence—and strategy into execution.
A former business journalist, Laurie works with leadership teams to clarify positioning, shape high-impact narratives, and ensure initiatives land across teams, partners, and the market. She is often brought in when work is complex, cross-functional, or high-stakes—and needs to move with clarity and momentum.
Through her boutique consulting firms, Laurie has advised executives at companies including Applied Materials, Cisco, Dell, Malwarebytes, SoFi, and Visa. Known for her sharp instincts and “detective” skills, she quickly identifies what’s unclear or misaligned and brings structure that drives traction.
Laurie is the author of "Tweet This! How to Amplify Your Brand on Twitter." She previously reported for Fortune and Working Woman, and was founding Editor in Chief and Vice President of (the original) Women.com Networks, the first major digital platform for women. She holds a degree from Dartmouth College and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
